Sheree English & Melissa Allison
Our Wedding
Coming of age in the 70’s as two gay women, we never dreamed of having a wedding. It could never be. Never possibly be…
Now look how far we’ve come!
We are living in exciting and turbulent times of social change. It is a very precious and beautiful opportunity for us to actually have a ceremony; not between ourselves in private, but in the company and sweet embrace of family and friends. We are very fortunate and have the deepest gratitude and love for each of you.
Our Reception
Fabulous friends, great conversation, good food, yummy cake and music we can party to. Don't forget your dancin' shoes!
Travel Arrangements
After much thought and discussion, Sheree and I decided to bring our 3-year old macaw, Ziggy, on our honeymoon. He is such a special and well-behaved bird who loves to travel with us (well.... actually, Sheree loves for him to travel with us!). This limited how far we could go - no airplanes or crossing international borders.
It took us a long time to find the beautiful houseboat docked in Sausalito just a couple of hours away. It’s definitely “over-the-top” but we are thrilled to have such a beautiful place to relax and enjoy some extended time together.
Sausalito also holds so many of the things that we enjoy… being right on the water with amazing views of the Bay, wonderful art galleries, local renowned restaurants and shopping all within walking distance or a short drive. We can kayak, rent bikes, and take the Ferry into the city to play.
We've put some pics of the houseboat and Sausalito in our Honeymoon Photo Album if you're interested!
A Special Message From Us
